Harvey F. Billings

Biography:

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Billings of Drake received word from the Government Friday that their son, 2nd Lieutenant Harvey F. Billings died April 28th (his mother’s birthday) in Germany from wounds received in action.

Lieut. Billings, a member of Battery C., 496th Armored Field Battalion was commander of a tank crew, which had spearheaded in the European Theatre of War for the 15th, 17th, and 3rd armies.

William J. Bieber

Biography:

When William John Bieber was born on 11 August 1922, in Center, North Dakota, his father, Louis Edward Bieber, was 39 and his mother, Moria Elizabeth Meyhoff, was 27. He lived in Oliver, North Dakota, United States in 1935 and Township 141 Range 85, Oliver, North Dakota, United States in 1940. He entered the US Navy Center, North Dakota on May 24, 1944 and served the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He died in service on April 13, 1945 in Okinawa. He is buried at Plot NE 1/4 21, Grave 6, Lot 21 at Center Cemetery Association, Center, North Dakota.

Myron C. Biberdorf

Biography:

Myron Clae Biberdorf was born in Willow City, North Dakota on May 19, 1927 to Bernhard ("Ben") Biberdorf and Elsie Liebelt. He went to school for grades 1-8. Myron's nickname was buzzer and he served in the Navy during World War II. He entered the service at Bottineau, ND on 07 Feb 1945.  After training in Minnesota, Illinois and California, he was stationed aboard the USS Megrez AK-126 in the Asiatic Pacific theater.  He died in service aboard that ship, on 26 Dec 1945, near Japan.
